All audio analysis is performed locally on your device. We do not upload your audio files to external servers, and your creative work remains completely private.

Information We Collect

📁 Audio Files

What we collect: Audio files you import for analysis (WAV, AIFF, MP3, M4A, CAF, FLAC)

Where it's stored: Locally on your device and optionally in your iCloud Drive

How it's used: For audio analysis only. Files never leave your device or iCloud account.

📊 Analysis Data

What we collect: Analysis results including frequency balance, dynamic range, stereo imaging data, and quality metrics

Where it's stored: Locally on your device with optional iCloud sync

How it's used: To display your analysis history and provide recommendations

🤖 AI Analysis Metadata

What we collect: Only metadata from audio analysis (technical measurements, not audio content)

Where it's sent: Anonymized metadata is sent to Claude AI (Anthropic) for generating mixing recommendations

What's NOT sent: Your actual audio files are never uploaded or transmitted

👤 User Account Information

What we collect: Email address (for subscription management), subscription status, and usage statistics

How it's used: To manage your Pro subscription, provide customer support, and send important service updates

Local Processing

All audio file analysis happens on your device using Apple's Accelerate framework. Your audio files never leave your device.

iCloud Encryption

When using iCloud sync, your data is protected by Apple's end-to-end encryption. Only you can access your synced analysis data.

Metadata Only

AI analysis uses only technical measurements (LUFS, frequency data, etc.), never your actual audio content.

No Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data Deletion

You can delete your analysis history and audio files at any time directly from the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Secure Transmission

Any data transmitted to our servers or AI services uses industry-standard HTTPS/TLS encryption.

Third-Party Services

MixDoctor uses the following third-party services:

Claude AI by Anthropic

We use Claude Sonnet 4.5 to generate intelligent mixing recommendations. Only anonymized technical metadata (not audio files) is sent to Anthropic's API. For more information, see Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

Apple iCloud

Optional iCloud sync uses Apple's CloudKit framework. All data synced via iCloud is protected by Apple's encryption. For more information, see Apple's Privacy Policy.

Apple App Store

Subscription payments are processed through Apple's App Store. We receive only subscription status information. For more information, see Apple's Privacy Policy.

Your Rights

You have the following rights regarding your data:

  • Access: View all your analysis data within the app
  • Export: Export your analysis reports (Pro feature)
  • Delete: Delete individual analyses or all data at any time
  • Opt-Out: Disable iCloud sync in app settings
  • Portability: Export your data in standard formats

Children's Privacy

MixDoctor is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us to have that information deleted.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by:

  • Posting the new Privacy Policy in the app
  • Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
  • Sending you a notification through the app (for material changes)

Your continued use of MixDoctor after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
